Obama '08

I've lodged my complaints about Barry O. and the Democratic Party's policies here before, but went to bed last night realizing that the US is on the verge of electing an African American who seems to genuinely care about poor people to the White House. Finally something to get behind? Real change or rhetorical change? Time will tell, but I'm starting to feel some energy behind this.

Don't you watch Fox news Tim? Obama is a dirty Muslim suicide bomber. His middle name is Hussein for cryin' out loud! To top it off he also hangs out with a retired minister who sounds crazy when you edit his hour long sermons down to 3 second sound bites. I bet he only cares about poor people because he's hoping to draft them into his war on decent, white, God-fearing Americans!

So, what you're saying is that you realize Hilary doesnt have a chance at this point. See, I want B.ob to win. I want him to win just to see how the unbiased media handles all his decisions and speeches. Media such as, whitehouse.org, comedy central, SNL--all the bastions of truthiness. How do you go about poking fun at the first black president of the U.S., when, not if, he miserably fails a few times? Bush just provided so much material for our enjoyment, that I hope B.ob doesnt let us down. This is the main issue I'm concerned about. And also, I want to see the U.S. go ape-shit when they get what they want/dont want good and hard. You know, democracy in action.

That is basically what I'm saying. Hil's out. I'm guessing the comedy types won't be making too many jokes about Barry Hussein--Bush has been a goldmine, but Obama's just going to get the Clinton treatment, where you can laugh, but only if he's laughing with you.

I'm also reading a book on federalism that's pretty good: "The Implosion of American Federalism" or somesuch dramatic title. I still think it's a pretty decent idea for a country like ours, but it does seem that it's gone, gone, gone.

But don't forget how inexperienced Obama is, especially compared to McCain, who has years of experience - he's older than Isreal, the ball point pen and Spam. How many more years of experience can you ask for?
